Women empowerment enables women to be empowered.
Each achievement empowers us all.
Based at Global Diversity the BAME Resource Centre will endeavour to work with like-minded organisations and projects to showcase and facilitate support and guidance for women empowerment.
With the support from Inspiring role models our mission is to engage and empower girls from the least advantaged communities.
We’ll do this by connecting them with a mentor and a network of professional female role models, this resource will be made available at no cost to schools.
BAME Women’s Resource Centre will be aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 which is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. While the world has achieved progress towards gender equality and women’s empowerment under the Millennium Development Goals (including equal access to primary education between girls and boys), women and girls continue to suffer discrimination and violence in every part of the world.
The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, BAME Women’s Resource Centre will also work towards Goal 17 which is a partnership approach to achieve the goal.
A successful sustainable development agenda requires partnerships between governments, the private sector and civil society. These inclusive partnerships built upon principles and values, a shared vision, and shared goals that place people and the planet at the centre, are needed at the global, regional, national and local level.
